An interactive session designed to help you to make sure that your social media policies are up to date, looking at the recent employment tribunal decisions on this topic and requirements of the GDPR. What should a social media policy contain? How far can you restrict an employee’s freedom to use social networks? Can the genie ever be put back into the bottle?

This course will help you to:-

  • Deal with the various issues surrounding the misuse by employees of social media within and outside the workplace;
  • Draft an appropriate internal policy for employees’ use of social media;
  • Understand what can and can’t be dealt with formal disciplinary proceedings and what conduct can justify a dismissal.
